Description

Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity as we welcome the autumn season with this hands-on pottery workshop. You’ll learn traditional hand-building techniques to create your very own ceramic lantern, complete with decorative cut-outs that let candlelight shine through.

Whether you’re completely new to pottery or have some experience, this class is suitable for all skill levels. Each participant will be guided step by step through the making process, with plenty of opportunity to personalise your design.

After the session, your piece will be dried, glazed, and fired by Ruby Katz Ceramics — ready for you to collect and enjoy at home once finished.

What’s Included

  • Use of all pottery tools, clay, and materials

  • Expert tuition and demonstration

  • Glazing and kiln firing of your finished piece

  • Tea, coffee, and a relaxed, creative atmosphere

Important Information

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can start promptly at 6pm.

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little clay on

  • Long hair should be tied back, and jewellery removed from hands and wrists.

  • Clay can be messy but washes off easily with water!

  • Your finished lantern will take up to 6 weeks to be dried, glazed, and fired — we’ll contact you when it’s ready to collect.

  • Workshops are small and friendly, with limited spaces available, so early booking is recommended.

Cancellation Policy

If you can no longer attend, please let us know at least 7 days before the workshop so we can offer your space to someone else. Refunds cannot be issued after this point, but you may transfer your booking to a friend.
