Tall Flared Vase with Crawling Glaze
This hand-built vase is defined by its elegant flared neck and slender, elongated body. The form feels both sculptural and functional, with a graceful curve that draws the eye upward.
The glaze is striking: layers of blue, rust, and earthy browns break and pool across the surface, with areas of bare clay revealed in organic, map-like patches. The effect is bold and textural, almost volcanic, giving the vase a sense of raw energy. Inside the flared rim, the glaze deepens into a rich, mottled blue that contrasts beautifully with the warmer tones of the exterior.
Perfect as a statement piece for a sideboard or mantel, or as a vessel for tall stems, this vase balances refinement with a rugged, elemental finish.
